Award-winning Shanklin Voluntary Youth & Community Centre (SVYCC) re-opened after the Summer break with over 150 members enjoying the evening.
They were joined by special guest, and member from the 1970s, BBC Radio & TV Presenter Alex Dyke.
SVYCC, or TC’s as it’s known by members since the 1990s, has spent the summer updating it’s games room, disco, coffee bar and main hall; as well as, increasing mid-week table tennis activities.
Voluntary leader Mark Biddlecombe said:
“Thanks again to our dedicated team of volunteers we have been able to increase the range of activities we can provide, and the numbers attending on our first night back shows how much local young people value what’s on offer’.
Further details are on the website, which is also being updated, and TC’s returns on 20th October and then 17th November.

Well done you people, sounds like fun.
Not all of us were happy to see it open. Such disregard for parking outside lead to issues on the carriageway raising safety concerns.
