Police have carried out what is understood to be the execution of a search warrant at an address in Newport this evening (Thursday).
7 vehicles, including the Armed Response Vehicle and a Dog Unit, are currently in attendance on School Lane.
They arrived at the location on Pan estate shortly before 17:00. It appears to be a pre-planned operation.
Island Echo has approached Hampshire Constabulary for a statement, which is expected on Friday morning.
UPDATE FRIDAY – A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed that officers attended an address and recovery property which is suspected to be stolen.
No arrests have been made and enquires remain ongoing at this time.
Apparently seven dwarfs were found having an illegal gathering. Grumpy was asked to leave.

Let’s take your argument to it’s logical conclusion. If the Romans hadn’t invaded followed by the Norwegians, the Danes, Swedes etc and then the bloody French the Isle of Wight and the other bit would still be in the Dark Ages, would that suit you?

secondly – the indigenous population of each country do just fine without immigration. The romans etc did not need to invade for advances to be made – they could quite easily have been made with mutual cooperation and understanding, with an exchange of ideas and technology – no need to come rushing across the solent in boats with guns – kind of pointless exercise.

Sod the search should have just carried out the execution.
Pan has always been the area from top of furlongs down to Barton rd, school lane and Highfield rd and all round to homemeade etc, it’s all pan .
