The Isle of Wight College will be participating in National Apprenticeship Week next week (5th-11th February) – a week-long celebration dedicated to recognising the invaluable contributions of apprenticeships and the exceptional opportunities they provide learners, employers and Island economy and community. The College is gearing up to host a series of engaging events, both on-campus and at local schools and businesses, aimed at highlighting the benefits of apprenticeships. Whether you’re an individual eager to embark on an apprenticeship journey, a parent seeking more information, an employer considering apprenticeships for your workforce, or simply curious about the concept, the College invites everyone to join in the celebrations. Events are open to everyone. The highlights include: Monday 5th February: Apprenticeships for All! 15:30-17:30 – Employer drop-in open event (Isle of Wight College, Newport) Online: Parent and Carer information event (online) Tuesday 6th February: Employer Tuesday 11:00-15:00 – Employer Showcase Event (The Isle of Wight College, Newport) Existing students are invited to join employers in the LRC (library) who will be showcasing opportunities and offering advice. Wednesday 7th February: Apprentice Wednesday 07:30-09:00 – Employer Apprenticeship Breakfast Event (Business Centre, Isle of Wight College, Newport) registration closes 17:00 Friday 2nd February Book here. 11:00-17:00 – Apprenticeship Information Drop-In event at the Isle of Wight Council buildings Thursday 8th February: T Level Thursday 15:30-17:00 – Employer Drop-in event – Discover how T-Levels and Apprenticeships can benefit your business! (Business Centre Isle of Wight College) Friday 9th February: Celebration Friday 10:00-14:00 – Apprenticeship Q and A (online) – busting apprenticeships facts and little-known facts, like: did you know you can study a higher-level apprenticeship in your existing workplace with the help of you employer? 14:00-15:30 – Engineering apprenticeships at CECAMM, Whippingham drop-in a discover your future career!
