The 6-star ‘Scenic Eclipse’ has moored up off Cowes this morning (Friday) as part of its debut visit to the UK.
After departing from Fowey in Cornwall, Scenic Eclipse entered the Solent from the West at around 06:30 this morning and has now taken up an anchored position just outside Cowes Harbour, with guests heading ashore for a day on the Isle of Wight.
Designed to deliver a 6-star ultra-luxury small ship cruising experience for up to 228 guests, Scenic Eclipse seamlessly combines innovative design and world-class facilities. Her state-of-the-art technology allows for smooth navigation through all waters and GPS Dynamic Positioning also allows the ‘Discovery Yacht’ to maintain location without dropping anchors onto sensitive sea beds.
The boat is equipped with 2 airbus helicopters, a custom-designed submarine, RIBs and kayaks.
Scenic Eclipse was introduced to Scenic’s fleet in 2019 and is the world’s first Discovery Yacht. There are plans for a second yacht, Scenic Eclipse II, in 2023.

The island will be a shock after being on board that. I’m sure the locals will give them an ‘authentic experience ‘
Meeting them on the beach with sharpened pitchforks with accompanying flaming torches and performing the traditional stella artois fuelled war dance.
So long as they don’t have to use our roads
What a fantastic yacht, makes a nice change from the gigantic ‘block of flats’ that normally float out of Southampton. Shame you can only just about see it on the Cowes webcam, but you can see the tenders shuttling back and forth a little clearer.
