The Marine Conservation Society is seeking the support of Isle of Wight residents for the upcoming Great British Beach Clean.
This year’s event will take place from Friday 20th to Sunday 29th September.
The Great British Beach Clean is a flagship citizen science initiative, where thousands of volunteers across the UK and Channel Islands come together to clean our beaches and collect vital data on marine litter. This data helps the Marine Conservation Society drive important campaigns for policy change and conservation efforts aimed at protecting our oceans and marine life.
There are several beach cleans happening across the Isle of Wight during the Great British Beach Clean period organised by local volunteers.
