The cancellation of the Great South Run – due to be held on Sunday 20th October – did not stop Isle of Wight Brainy Bunch runners from completing their 10-mile challenge despite appalling weather conditions.
Isle of Wight Brainy Bunch have written:
“In the absence of an official 2024 Great South Run, our amazing runners, who had committed to running and raising funds for The Wight Brainy Bunch, decided to take on a local 10 miles to ensure they completed their challenge

“You are all amazing. Huge thanks to everyone who has sponsored one of our runners and a massive thank you to Ryde Fire Station for accommodating us.”
