UPDATED: ISLAND LINE BLOCKED BY ‘PROBLEM’ AT SANDOWN

The Island Line train service between Ryde and Shanklin is disrupted this afternoon (Friday) due to a ‘problem’ at Sandown.

South Western Railway says that the issue is currently under investigation. In the meantime, the line is blocked.

Disruption is expected until 14:00.

Police have been seen to respond to the area of Lake in the past 15 minutes, but it is unclear if it is related to the network issue.

UPDATE @ 12:57 – The issue has now been resolved, according to South Western Railway.

Probably with a brush and dustpan, pesky leaves.

Quicker the new old ones get passed fit for island tracks the better. But I can see problem s with the track work for them, well at least the staff are having a good time.
