An investigation is underway following an attempted burglary at a newsagents in Cowes during the early hours of this morning (Sunday).
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary were called at around 07:00 to reports of a burglary at an address on Arctic Road in Cowes.
It was reported to Police that people attempted to gain access to Blakes News at around 04:00 by smashing the lower half of the door. Luckily their attempts were unsuccessful and they left the scene.
Nothing has been reported stolen.
