A woman who became injured on the beach at St Helens had to be assisted by HM Coastguard and paramedics this morning (Thursday).
Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team were called out at 11:04 following a request for assistance from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
Paramedics from St John Ambulance, who have been drafted in to assist the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service during the pandemic, were in attendance alongside an ambulance officer.
Coastguard Rescue Officers used a basket stretcher to evacuate the casualty from the beach and into the awaiting ambulance for onward conveyance to St Mary’s Hospital, Newport.
