Hovertravel’s Freedom 90 craft has been taken out of service this afternoon (Thursday) after it suffered a smashed window on a crossing from Southsea.
Engineers at Ryde are working to remove the individual window and install a replacement after a large stone smashed the glass.
The company’s cross-Solent service is continuing to operate with one of the new hovercraft.
Nobody has been injured in the incident, which occurred shortly after 15:30.
