Ryde-based Busy Bee is currently in 2nd place for the Garden Trade News’ Greatest Garden Centre Team of the Year award. This is a country-wide competition, hosted by the UK’s largest gardening trade magazine, whose competition helps raise funds for the Green Fingers Charity. The competition is voted for by customers who visit the participating garden centres. Currently, Busy Bee’s Christmas World Team has surpassed large chain garden centres and multi-award winning garden centres, who are also taking part. Altogether, 280 garden centres are competing nationwide. Being in 2nd spot is therefore a major achievement for a local Island family-run business. Voting ends on Thursday 21st December at 16:00. A spokesperson for Busy Bee has said:
“We believe that we have a great opportunity to champion the Island with our dedicated team’s effort on Christmas World and really show the whole country just how magical Christmas is on the Island!”
