7-year-old JoJo Begg has penned a short story called ‘Oh. Bird.’ with illustrations provided by her mother.
When Josie Begg told her mother Charlotte that she had written a short story, Charlotte was so impressed that she decided to create illustrations for it in the hope of getting it published.
Now, they are launching a Kickstarter campaign with a modest target of £200 to make that dream a reality. If successful, Josie hopes to donate some copies to the local library she loves in Newport.
Her mother Charlotte said:
“My daughter loves writing stories and reading them.”
“I think that there is a serious shortage of silliness in children’s books today, and hope our book brings a smile to your face.”
“Josie and I have loved working on this book together, and hope you love reading it too.”
Without spoiling the plot, Island Echo can reveal that the story revolves around a little bird who lost his voice only for his friends to help him find it again.
The budding young author has 2 more works in the pipeline and could have an illustrious literary career before her so the first edition of ‘Oh. Bird.’ could be priceless in days to come.
