Forecasters at IW Met Service have issued a Level 2 heat alert for the Isle of Wight for tomorrow (Wednesday).
26c to 28c is expected widely across the Island, with a few places such as Freshwater and Newport reaching a Level 3 warning threshold of 28c to 30c.
At Level 2 people will certainly start to feel the heat. Prolonged sun exposure will give a much higher impact but even in the shade some people will feel the effects of the temperature. The risk is low to moderate for most people but once again a few people will likely struggle with this level of warmth, especially if the winds are light.
