Heavenly voices rang out at Orchard House Care Home as the community came together to celebrate Christmas with a carol concert.
Children from Hunnyhill Primary School wrapped up and came to sing for our residents, giving out handmade cards and gifts for our residents which were warmly received.
Staff and residents at Barchester’s care home, in Newport Isle of Wight, got in the Christmas spirit by inviting the local school to come to sing some festive Christmas favourites.
There was hot chocolate to drink and treats all prepared by head chef Claire Daffern to get everyone feeling festive.
General Manager, Kim Fleming said:
“We are so lucky to have such a fantastic community here at Orchard House Care Home. Singing Christmas carols is such a lovely tradition, I’m so glad we could invite our friends and neighbours to come and join in us.”
Jean, resident at Orchard House said:
“I love to sing Christmas carols so it was wonderful to hear all my old favourites sung so beautifully by the children there really is nothing better than a good old singalong!”
