Residents of Blackwater Mill Residential Home in Blackwater enjoyed a teddy bears picnic last week (25th August) in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.
There was live music throughout the day from various Island-based musicians as well as a teddy bear hunt around the pond. All of this was finished off with a cream tea picnic.
A raffle was held, featuring many prizes donated by numerous Island businesses and restaurants.
A total of £170 was raised during the event, all of which will be going straight to the Alzheimer’s Society.
It was a lovely happy day, i could see the residents were really enjoying it,
