As a community partner, Network Ryde will always have period products available that anyone can take in unlimited quantities, no questions asked. Network Ryde is dedicated to helping end period poverty and ensuring those who access the service are supported. Kaiya Woodford, Youth Worker at Network Ryde comments:
“We are aware that young people may be experiencing period poverty, we want to break down those barriers and make these products available to everyone whilst also creating a space where we can have an open and honest conversation about reproductive health”.
Period products will be available in the bathroom at Network Ryde, the products they have available include but are not limited to period pants, moon cups, tampons, and pads. Young people are encouraged to speak to youth workers if they have any questions regarding their period in a confidential and non-judgemental environment.
