FORMER ISLAND TEENAGER KILLED IN SKEGNESS CRASH

jessdunningA 16-year-old former Islander has been killed in a road traffic collision in Skegness today (Wednesday).

Jess Dunning moved away from the Island to live in Lincolnshire a couple of years ago, however tragically lost her life this morning after being involved in a crash on the A158 Burgh Road in Skegness at around 07:00. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The serious collision is said to have involved 5 cars and a bus. A 53 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. He has been interviewed and released on Police bail.

It is understood Jess attended school in Cowes and remained in contact with her friends on the Isle of Wight.

Tributes have been left on the popular teenager’s Facebook page. One Islander said: “Rest In Peace gorgeous girl, such sad news to hear. My hopes and prayers are with your family”.
