There is travel disruption for those looking to cross the Solent this morning (Wednesday) due to fog.
Red Funnel is advising of delays to both its vehicle ferry service and hi-speed Red Jet service, between Southampton and the Isle of Wight.
The Red Jet is currently delayed by approximately 20-25 minutes as a result of the reduce visibility.
Meanwhile, the 09:00 vehicle ferry sailing from East Cowes and the 10:30 return from Southampton is delayed by up to 50 minutes. The 09:00 from Southampton and the 10:30 from East Cowes is said to be delayed by 25 to 30 minutes, however.
Hovertravel report that their services between Ryde and Southsea are running to time.
Wightlink are also reporting a normal timetabled service from Yarmouth, Fishbourne and Ryde Pier Head.
Just seen two coaches coming off the ferry at Yarmouth hurtling along the road with no lights on.
Also local lorries with no lights on.
Ah I remember red funnel drivers don’t get on with fog , those drivers can’t be trusted ha ha ha
