The Cowes to East Cowes Floating Bridge is set to be suspended to allow for a repair to a hydraulic hose tomorrow (Tuesday).
The suspension is set to come into force at 10:00 and last until the repair is complete, which is expected to take up to 2 hours.
A replacement service will be launched for foot passengers, with the Isle of Wight Council apologising for any inconvenience caused.

This abortion just keeps on giving, if diggers had the same crap hydraulics as this thing nothing would ever be dug.
They should scrap it and get the same company that built the Sandbanks ferry in Poole to build us one that works.
Don’t worry Reg, our new council will soon sought it all out.
So who will pay for that?
Oh, and who will pay for the £4 million that would have to be paid back to the Solent LEP?
The simple solution is to get rid of the prows and build a rolling ramp either side that can be used for loading and unloading. However, this brings its own safety issues.
If there were a safe, simple solution it would already have happened
The gift that NOBODY wanted that just keeps on giving, and giving, and giving, and giving……the laughing stock of the Island, and rightly so. Shameful.
Out of service again you do surprise me.
It should have gone down with Captain Pugwash, i would ask for a green replacement
When will this story ever end?
Hopefully the new council will step up quickly and sort this expensive calamity out.
Why has no one lost there job over the incompetent handling of this. And the designers and builders held to account. I demand an inquiry. Someone must have got a backhander for tis piece of shit.
Can we switch to news about the floating bridge when it is able to work for a month without issue. 😀
