A cordon has been erected outside a known property on Union Road, between Union Street and George Street.
Island Echo understands that the incident began sometime before 01:00 in the Union Street, Cross Street and Melville Street areas.

The same people causing problems, ruining our neighborhood.
Loud and vile druggies. Can hear them shouting at each other almost every day.
That house is an absolute drug den. It has been for years, about time something is done about it.
How can ‘something be done’ when the Tories have destroyed the police force. Did you like the tax cuts last election?
Shut up you communist lowlife, it’s more likely to be another one of your lot, on benefits and drugged up…
It’s getting out of hand now. This has happened several times.
Ryde has gone downhill massively the past few years.
Just the same handful of people causing problems over and over. Ryde isn’t the problem, the problem is a weak judicial system that refuses to imprison people.
Isn’t Ryde lovely these days
Ryde is its a few scum bags that’s ruined it, you get them everywhere more police on street please
