Blackgang Chine has been forced to postpone its first Sunset Sessions event this weekend as a result of the expected bad weather set to hit the Isle of Wight.
The event – which was to be held tomorrow evening (Friday 14th July) was set to feature electrifying, featuring iconic dance anthems and good vibes all around, but because of the predicted weather forecast of winds north of 60mph, the event has had to be cancelled.
Instead, tickets will be transferred until 4th August with Ellie Sax – who was originally meant to play this weekend – all confirmed and ready to go.
A Vectis Ventures spokesperson has said:
“Due to the severe weather forecast tomorrow, we have no choice but to postpone Sunset Sessions. Whilst we don’t mind a party in our wellies and ponchos, the safety of our guests, performers, and staff comes first, and the winds are looking a little too gusty!
“But the great news is we have everything confirmed to go ahead as planned, with the sensational Ellie Sax on the 4th August, and look forward to partying with everyone then.
“Ticket holders will have an automatic transfer to the 4th and won’t need to do anything, those who cannot make the date have the option to transfer to the 2nd Sept with the legendary Dave Pearce.”
On 2nd September the legendary Dave Pearce will take the stage. With his iconic career as a radio DJ, music producer, and television presenter, Dave Pearce has become a household name in the world of electronic dance music. Get ready to rave as he spins the hottest tracks and very best dance music.
