UPDATED: Firefighters from Newport and Freshwater are attending a fire off Pixley Hill near Freshwater tonight (Saturday).
2 appliances and a water bowser are in attendance at the scene at Norton Green, however it is currently unclear as to what exactly has caught alight.
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were called to the incident at around 19:00.
Southern Vectis say all Route 7 buses will divert via Heathfield Road in both directions until further notice.
Pixley Hill/Copse Lane is currently blocked to all traffic.
UPDATE @ 21:30 – Fire crews have used main jets to tackle a garage fire at a residential property.
The blaze has been extinguished and crews are leaving the scene.
