UPDATED: The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service is in attendance at GKN Aerospace in East Cowes this morning (Friday).
2 appliances from Newport, 1 from East Cowes, the Aerial Ladder Platform from Ryde and the Incident Command Unit from Newport are all on scene.
Staff have been evacuated from a building to the South of the site.
The alarm was raised at 09:35.
UPDATE @ 10:12 – Crews have now stood down from the incident following the false alarm.
Evacuated staff members have been allowed to return to the building.
