Much-loved father and former footballer Levi Randall – who sadly passed away last month – will be remembered by teammates, friends and family at a funeral service at Holy Trinity Church in Bembridge on Wednesday 13th December. Last Saturday (25th November), Levi’s memory was respected at Steyne Park as Bembridge 1st Team and Reserves – together with their opponents High Park and Shankin Reserves – held a minute’s silence in his honour. Levi’s partner, Jade Goodall, was presented with his number 7 shirt, which will be passed on to his son, Cohen. Friends and family released balloons in his memory. Levi’s former football club, Bembridge FC, have said:
“Tuesday was a sad day as Levi Randall passed away. A good friend to many of our club and former player for a number of years. “He had some great times here, winning multiple trophies. He scored lots of goals for the club, always had serious talent and technical ability. “He never left Bembridge, it was just some serious knee injuries that stopped him playing. He would still come and support us from time to time.”
Bembridge’s 2 teams did Levi proud, with the 1st team beating High Park 5-2 and the Reserves overcoming Shanklin Reserves 4-0. The funeral service at Holy Trinity Church will start at 13:00 on Wednesday 13th December. The family say everyone wishing to attend is welcome. No donations are required but mourners can bring a rose to put on his coffin if they wish to do so. A gofundme page has been set up to help pay the costs for Levi’s funeral.
