The Phoenix Choir’s will perform for the final time next month (5th July) at Newport Minster, marking the end of their 16 year musical journey.
There is free admission with a retiring collection in aid of Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance’s ‘Operation Airbase’ appeal. This will bring its indispensable service closer to Southampton and reduce flying time to the Island. They receive no government funding.
The choir has been performing for 16 years, has played more than 75 concerts locally, and raised more than £70,000 for Island charities and good causes. Their repertoire includes songs from films, musicals and other genres, and some old favourites will be included in their final performance. A complimentary souvenir programme will be available at the concert.
The concert gets underway at 14:30.
