Island Roads are on their way to clear a large tree that has fallen across the road in Seaview this afternoon (Wednesday).
Oakhill Road – between Pondwell and the seafront – is completely blocked by the fallen tree.
Motorists are being advised to take additional care when driving during this stormy weather.
A yellow weather warning for heavy rain – accompanied by gusts of up to 50mph – is in force for the Isle of Wight, as previously reported by Island Echo.

Good. Keep all that lot blocked in.Snotty inbreds.
The snotty inbreds are probably in Londystan protesting with their snotty University brainwashed offspring, with their big gas gusling car’s…..
To think Seaview is a small place but worth
much more than many areas on the Island put
together.
So many locals are jealous of Second Home Owners
(You’ve either got it or you haven’t)
Wouldn’t worry too much, their more than likely on the mainland at their real homes
Yes they are shame they have to come back really they ruined seaview
Never forget-Caulkheads were happy selling to Grockles.
Don’t cry afterwards.
Some real judgemental people around, a lot of people in Seaview actually work for a living and live full time on the Island in a single home. But because a few people buy holiday homes we are being accused of being snotty inbreds. Well that only says one thing about the intellect of the persons commenting.
Those of you who have driven down that road will remember that there is a tree jutting onto the road and posing great danger to motorists using the road. I hope that is the tree that has fallen!
No it’s not that one but slightly higher up.
I suppose the name will be changed to Hill Road now.
