UPDATED: Emergency services including Police, paramedics and a local fire crew are attending an incident on Ashey Road near Ryde this lunchtime (Thursday) in which a car has overturned and come to rest on its roof.
The incident, which took place at just before 11:40, has occurred near to Smallbrook Stadium.
The road is currently blocked in both directions whilst crews work to treat the young occupants of the purple vehicle.
UPDATE @ 12:35 – 2 people have been conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital this lunchtime, although their injuries are not thought to be serious.
The Honda Civic is thought to have lost control whilst traveling towards The Downs before smashing into a brick wall and overturning.
Recovery of the vehicle has been arranged and Stag Lane Motors are now on scene.
UPDATE @ 13;30 – The road has reopened in both directions.
