Edison’s Electrical in Newport has agreed to a 2-year sponsorship for an Electrical Course Student at Isle of Wight College.
Gordon Bush, whose Edison’s Electrical business is located on Gray’s Walk, has said:
We’d like to extend a massive thank you to Gordon Bush, the owner of Edison’s Electrical for choosing to sponsor and support one of our electrical learners this year.
“I know how expensive it can be starting a career as an electrician and wanted to be able to help someone. We wanted to help out a student at the Isle of Wight College. With the assistance of the course tutors and college leadership team, we went to the college and spoke to the Electrical Course students.
“We asked them to contact us and let us know why they were on the course and what they hoped it would mean for them going forward.
“Once the submissions were in, we selected 1 student and provided the tools they will need for the 1st year. It is our intention to follow this student and provide the equipment for the 2nd year should they wish to continue. We also intend to repeat the sponsorship with another student next year and ideally continue and expand to more than one student each year as time goes on.”
The Isle of Wight College has said:
