EASTENDERS APPEARANCE FOR WEST WIGHT RUNNER THANKS TO LONDON MARATHON SCENES

West Wight Road Runner Jackie Williams not only completed the London Marathon this week, but has appeared on BBC One’s Eastenders too. Jackie is overjoyed at the fact she finished Sunday’s race in a time of 5:11:59, but competing in this year’s marathon in the Capital has been made that little bit more special. In Monday night’s episode of Eastenders, scenes were broadcast showing the actual marathon from the day before. Characters Hunny and Jay were running in memory of Lola. Filming took place at Tower Bridge – just as Jackie crossed over the River Thames, earning herself a background appearence. Jackie only started running during the COVID pandemic, with the weekend’s marathon being only her second to date. She is already planning a third in Florence, Italy this November.
