A duck was rescued after becoming stuck in a drain line over the weekend.
Late on Saturday night, the team at Underground Service Engineering received a call from an owner of a farm property saying that a duck had got into their drainage system and needed rescuing.
Not wanting to ‘duck’ responsibility, the team immediately got to work using a CCTV camera to find the bird, which was stuck in the drainage line.
Having worked out where the animal was, a worker climbed down into the system and rescued the feathered friend, which the owner believed had flown away after going missing just over 2 weeks ago.
The duck didn’t suffer any injuries.

Well done, all concerned.

Well done to the rescuers, and the person who reported the needy situation of the duck. Good to read a happy ending.
