The front wheel of an electric car has been left at a right angle after coming into contact with a parked car in Newport.
Police have responded to Medina Avenue as a result of a 2-car road traffic collision, which has seen the driver of a Peugeot inadvertently crash into a Fiat 500 XL.
The incident happened at around 11:10.
No injuries have been reported but the disabled male driver has been assisted from the vehicle.
Medina Avenue has been closed by Police between the junctions of Shide Road and Avondale Road.
As a result of the collision, Southern Vectis Route 38 buses are diverting via Shide Road to Newport Bus Station.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area for the time being.

You obviously have not seen the way some persons
whizz around on their mobility scooters,
they need to take a test.
Some travel too fast on Pavements or in shops.

They are all supposed to have insurance and the 8 mph ones have to be registered with DVLA
Bet they don’t bother.
There is no legal requirement for class 2 and 3 scooters to be insured. Without doubt they should be and they should be required to be but that is not the position at present
They should also be required to have at least third party insurance
