Police are conducting enquiries to identify the driver of a vehicle which failed to stop at the scene of a crash on the outskirts of Ryde this morning (Sunday).
Hampshire Constabulary were called at 11:31 to reports of a 3-vehicle collision on Upton Road, close to the junction with Windmill Close, in Haylands.
It is said that a Nissan collided with 2 other vehicles – thought to be a car and a van – but did not stop at the scene.
Witnesses to the incident were able to note the registration number of the vehicle, which was subsequently passed to Police.
Thankfully, no one was injured in the crash.
Officers have been carrying out enquiries in the local area which are ongoing at this time.

More than likely drunk at the wheel. Hope the police get them.
“Thankfully, no one was injured in the crash.” Shame He or possibly She wasn’t.
If they got the reg number why not tell us it. It’s not rocket science is it more of us than police
First rule of drink driving, if you crash, run! Then the police can’t test you. Leaving the scene of an accident is a lessor crime. Just come up with a story that you got frightened and ran. Or even better run home then next day report your car as stolen.
