Pupils at Dover Park Primary School in Ryde ended the school year in spectacular style with a mini music festival featuring live bands, outdoor games and plenty of summer fun.
On the last day of term, the school playground was transformed into a lively festival site. Children arrived in glitter, flower crowns, funky sunglasses and wellies, ready to enjoy a day packed with entertainment.
Live performances from Mrs Grubb and her Merry Men, The Tuesdayz Rock and Roll Band and young artists from Ryde Lift Academy got everyone dancing in the sunshine. The atmosphere was electric as pupils sang, clapped and celebrated together.
Alongside the music, the festival featured a giant inflatable slide, a bouncy castle, bubble play and outdoor games. The fun-filled day ended with an outdoor disco, ensuring the celebrations continued right to the final bell.
The school also marked the retirement of long-serving teacher Maria Kirby, who is leaving after 15 years of dedicated service to the school and its pupils.
Headteacher, Jon Kirby, has said:
“It was the perfect way to wrap up the term and to say a final goodbye to our incredible year 6 class.

With the school year now complete, Dover Park’s pupils have begun their summer holidays with happy memories – and perhaps a little glitter still in their hair.
