86-year-old fundraiser Dot Porter was recently presented with the Millennium Trophy at Freshwater Golf Club’s AGM by outgoing captain, Tony Keen.
Dot was awarded the trophy for outstanding achievement for her remarkable fundraising effort for the Freshwater Bay Lifeboat – the 2024 Club Charity.
Dot raised £2,300 for her tandem parachute jump at Sandown Airport last August.
This was the second time Dot has won this trophy. She previously abseiled down the Spinnaker Tower in 2016 in another fundraising stunt.
Well done Dot.
