Police are looking to identify a man as part of an investigation into 2 theft incidents carried out at The Little Cow Shed in Havenstreet. One occurred on the evening of 30th June and another in the early hours of 23th July. Over the course of these two incidents, approximately £500 worth of goods were stolen. Until our pathetic magistrates do something with this low life, we will continue having to live with the consequences of crime on the island. Is it time to hold a referendum on the island changing magistrates power

Well the REASON why courts can never again give meaningful deterrent sentences to our own criminals is because our prisons are filled with criminals from warmer climates and their huge amounts of offspring now born here.
IF the naive had voted Reform numbers would eventually ease and prison space could be made available to the rubbish we are responsible for, and the third worlds charming who choose to come here, then treat kindness as weakness to exploit to the max.

And what is magistrate meant to do when there is no cell at the inn?they are now giving guidelines because of that!..the wonderful Conservatives for some reason thought crime would decrease????shutdown and reclassified prisons,ask the Home Office why 460 Sex offenders are getting early release because they have dropped the amount of time served if good behaviour courses etc implied with,dropped to a cat D and off home shortly!!and they wanted it all done quietly and quickly..but not to worry a new wing is being put on Parkhurst ,not sure how many years that will take to complete?.
