Delays are expected in Lake and Sandown today (Friday) following the partial 1-way closure of Lake Hill for emergency Southern Water works.
The water company is currently on site following an overnight leak which has occurred at the pedestrian crossing outside Tesco Express.
Southern Vectis buses are currently diverting via Perowne Way on journeys towards Ryde Bus Station. Traffic is still able to come down Lake Hill.
It is unclear how complex the issue is and how long it will take to repair.
UPDATE – The roadworks have been completed and all traffic management has been removed.
Lake hill is now open it as been open since 16.00 today.
Lake is the worst part of the Island for traffic delays,
yet alone when there are road works.
