Firefighters from Sandown and Shanklin responded to a fire on the marshes at Sandown earlier this evening (Thursday).
2 appliances turned out at 18:23 following reports of a bird viewing platform alight near Copse End, close to Morton Common.
Beaters and buckets of water were used to extinguish the small fire on the decking.
Meanwhile, retained firefighters in Cowes turned out at 19:13 to reports of a fire of unknown origin.
Investigations concluded that the source was a bonfire with the appropriate advice given.
