UPDATED: Emergency services are attending a road traffic collision at the top of Staplers Road between Newport and Wootton this afternoon (Saturday).
A Hyundai has sustained severe front end damage in the incident, which occurred at around 14:45 on the S-bends just past Landscape Lane.
Paramedics are on scene alongside Police, although no one is thought to have been seriously injured.
Traffic heading out of Newport is being diverted via Long Lane but the road currently remains open for motorists heading towards Newport from Whiterails Road and Blacklands Lane.
Recovery has been arranged.
UPDATE – The scene has now been cleared and the road has reopened in both directions.
