A 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of driving whilst over the prescribed drug limit following a crash on Military Road this evening (Tuesday).
As first reported by Island Echo, emergency services were called to Military Road near Brook at just before 19:40 as a result of a 2-car crash.

Police have confirmed that a 35-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of being high on cannabis – a Class B drug.
Thankfully, no one has been seriously injured.

If found guilty take his licence away, for a long time.
Stupid druggy losers like this should never see the light of day again. Lock them up and throw away the key…..end of.
This is becoming so common nowadays. One can smell the pungent aroma everywhere, along the street, from cars even from people’s clothing in shops.
The drug dealers are becoming big business as this culture of drug tolerance continues. The police are not interested, all authorities have become soft on drugs.
It’s only concerned adults, like us, who deplore this deterioration in society and prevalence of criminality. Those in authority are out of step..
Pathetic
‘Shame. Such a lovely blue…
If found guilty of any Driving offence, through Drink,Drugs,Speeding or using a Mobile Phone.
They need to go to a Mainland Court to be sentenced, as the Island Court will only fine them and slap wrists.
We need them locked up for a long long time, and band from the road for good.
This could have resulted in the death of an individual, and as for a Drink or Drug limit that should be zero.
What is wrong with the law on this soft Island, i’ve had enough of reading about it.
hang them
Bit harsh!
What is needed is that anyone selling a car to be able to check on line whether or not a person has convictions which prohibits them owning a car.
Don.t get the final comment of the article..” thankfully no one was seriously injured” personally I wish the drugy low life had ended up crippled for life..or preferreble dead. His own selfish weakness could have ruined many peoples life for ever…sentence him as if he had..
What a disgusting thing to say, imagine it was your own child who had done it! Wouldn’t be say this then, you know nothing about the man or his life! Vile!
Unfortunately this ‘man’ could have killed innocent people, think about the parents of the potentially seriously injured or dead, all life is precious, and that includes the idiot taking drugs who had zero thought for anyone else.
He takes it for medical reasons so don’t judge anyone from what you read it is wrong on all levels
One less pathetic loser in the world so I couldn’t agree more Steve. Druggy low lifes deserve no second chances and just need to be locked up and forgotten about, nothing but a liability to Society!
Dope head Twat !!!!
People think it’s ok to smoke a joint and drive , wake up dope heads !!!!!!
