WAIT until thousand more homes are built. Think it is bad now? You ain’t seen nothing yet.
Behave. yesterday evening, just after six I drove to Newport. Barely another car on the road. Try that on the mainland, got be like 3am to have a clear road. The holiday traffic more than doubles the numbers of the people on the island. Another thousand cars will not make the slightest bit of difference. What will make a difference if they can’t staff the essential services on the island because all the NIMBY lot that moved here twenty years ago wants to make it like the 70’s again. People born on the island want jobs and homes not overners trying to kill the island economy so they can push their house prices up.
why build homes if no jobs.. as for another thousand or more cars on the roads, of course it will make a difference, especially around the homes and what about car parking when shopping ? Plus the fact they will be here year round, not just a weekend or couple of weeks..
We need to build homes for island residents only in with wot people on the island are getting paid the rich are taking all are homes and putting the prices up and out of reach of the residents price range
Yes your correct it’s a total disgrace all these people coming over here trying to change things it’s not just a holiday island it will die if it carries on .We need jobs farms and industry and affordable housing for islanders
Another accident involving a motorbike.
Remember “Think Bike!”
I agree mate, but sadly other road users do not think. They get in the vehicle and leave their brain outside.. they look but do not see or think… Not everyone drives at 28 MPH…
