UPDATED: Police have closed the main road between Rookley and Godshill this afternoon (Tuesday) as a result of road traffic collision involving at least 2 vehicles.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service is on scene with Police near to Godshill Organics, where a VW Beetle and a Seat Leon have collided.
Emergency services were called to the scene at just before 16:00.
No one is thought to have been seriously injured in the smash, which has blocked the road.
All traffic heading towards Shanklin is being diverted via Merstone Lane. There are delays in the area.
Southern Vectis buses are currently not serving Godshill.
UPDATE @ 18:22 – The road has now re-opened, with buses reverting to their normal route.
1 person has been taken to St Mary’s Hospital as a precautionary measure.
