The Cowes Floating Bridge will operate an extended timetable throughout Cowes Week to help thousands of residents, sailors and visitors travel between Cowes and East Cowes during the world-famous regatta.
The special arrangements will be in place from Friday 31st July, until Saturday 8th August 2026, with later evening crossings available every day to support increased demand during the event.
Under the temporary timetable, the Floating Bridge will depart from Cowes from 05:00-00:25 daily, except on Sunday 2nd August, when the first crossing will be at 06:30.
From East Cowes, the service will run from 05:10 until 01:20, with a later start of 06:40 on Sunday 2nd August.
Special arrangements are also being put in place for the popular Cowes Week fireworks display on Friday 7th August.
From around 18:00, the Floating Bridge will operate a pedestrians-only service. Vehicle crossings will resume when it is considered safe and appropriate by operational staff. The service will then return to its normal timetable on Sunday 9th August, with the first crossing at 06:30.

“We would encourage passengers to plan ahead, allow extra time for busy periods and check the latest service information before travelling.”
