Improvement works at Newport’s Costa Coffee are progressing well, with confirmation that the store will re-open next weekend.
The outlet at St James’ Square closed earlier this month to allow for the UK’s fastest-growing coffee shop chain to improve the look and feel of the store – which was once Millets.
Renovations are being made to both the interior and exterior of the building, which is situated next to the now-vacant Topman store. The work is being carried out by Harvey shopfitters.
Plans are in place for Newport to receive its own drive-thru Costa Coffee, as previously reported by Island Echo.
Customers are to be invited back in-store at St James’ Square from next Saturday (22nd October).

they can’t wait to resume ripping customers off with their disgusting crap
If it is so ‘disgusting’, why is it so popular!? Riddle me that.
OK if you like Costa Coffee – personally I would like to know how people can afford it?
They work for a living ?
Er, it’s a coffee/tea. How can people afford to have pets etc!?
7 x large latte a week at £2.70 is £75 plus a month. It seems fine for a daily drink to some perhaps but crikey it adds up. My colleague didn’t realise until she added it up. That’s a lot of £ on coffee!!
