Police are standing guard outside a number of homes on Brading’s High Street this morning (Saturday) following a serious overnight incident, which has left blood splattered on the pavement.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has established a crime scene outside a row of properties on one of the busiest roads on the Isle of Wight.
Blood is evident on the pavement directly outside, with blood also dripped on the pavement opposite at the start to Quay Lane.
Island Echo understands an assault took place, prompting an emergency response from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service and Police.
No comment has yet been made on the specifics of the incident, including whether it is connected to another serious incident in Shanklin.
UPDATE – Police have confirmed that the incidents in Shanklin and Brading are linked, with 2 males injured – and arrested.
