Members of Velocity Fitness Gym in Sandown have raised more than £1,400 for 2 charities through a week of energetic fundraising activities.
The gym launched its fundraising efforts on Sunday (27th September) with a high-energy Zumbathon, bringing members together for a lively session of music, dancing and exercise in support of good causes.
The fundraising continued when more than 30 Velocity members joined the Dash in the Dark Isle of Wight event, taking on the illuminated course and demonstrating the gym’s strong community spirit.
Together, the 2 events raised more than £1,400 for Macmillan Cancer Support and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, both of which provide vital services to people across the Island and beyond.
A spokesperson for Velocity Fitness Gym thanked everyone who took part, donated or supported the fundraising efforts, saying:
“A huge thank you to everyone who danced, dashed, donated and supported. Your energy made this week truly special. Velocity, a community like no other.”
