Police have erected a cordon around a crime scene in Puckpool near Ryde following a serious assault overnight.
Both the lower and upper seawall between The Dell Cafe and The Boathouse at Springvale have been sealed off whilst investigations into the Halloween night incident take place.
The assault has occurred near to the beach huts.
Hampshire Constabulary have been approached for a statement, which is expected later on this morning.
Officers remain in attendance in and around Puckpool Park but all local businesses remain open and unaffected by the crime scene.

People don’t LIKE the truth, they want to hear upbeat views only, hence things get ever worse as the growing horrors are kept a low key as possible by the media now.

The stabber was not much more ‘mature’ so seems to me they are both likely low life and possibly into drugs, they were hardly there to enjoy the swings at that time of night. No great loss to society, either of them one would wager.
