The Star Coffee & Ale House on High Street in Ryde has made the quarter finals of the British Institute of Innkeepers Licensee of the Year Award for 2023.
What was once known as The Star Inn, the pub on Ryde High Street was refurbished and reopened back in August 2021 as The Star Coffee & Ale House, serving craft beers and artisan coffee from 09:00-21:00.
A successful first full year of trading saw the premises win an award for innovation in their 1st summer and an award in the best business and commercial category of the Ryde in Bloom awards – despite not having a garden.
The town centre premises is the only establishment from the Isle of Wight to be nominated in this particular category.
