Isle of Wight eateries have been judged on their food hygiene standards — but just how well have they done?
In recent inspections carried out by the Isle of Wight Council’s environmental health officers, food-serving businesses have been ranked on how clean and safe their premises and practices are.
Across 3 categories — hygienic food handling, cleanliness and condition of facilities and food safety management — there are 80 points available, which determine the rank the business is given.
They range from 5 (Very Good) down to 0 (Urgent Improvement Necessary).
This time, there were no 1 (Major Improvement Necessary) or 0 (Urgent Improvement Necessary) reviews given.
