Blackwater Mill Care Home has been brimming with festive spirit this week, thanks to 2 deliveries of gifts from kind-hearted individuals at Embracing Age and local teenager, Macie Edkins-Wherry.
The care home says the gifts will bring joy and comfort to residents, particularly those whose families live far away or who may be feeling lonely this Christmas. The care and attention poured into the packages are said to have touched the hearts of the care home, who have been overwhelmed by the generosity shown.
Home Manager Natalie Fielding expressed her gratitude, saying,
“Christmas can be a difficult time for some of our residents, but thanks to the generosity of Embracing Age and the kindness of Macie and Dana, they’ll feel the warmth of community and love.
“These gifts remind us all of the power of thoughtfulness, and we are so grateful.”
Thats lovely, so many things being arranged to make xmas special, the xmas lights trip was fabulous, a joy to see residents enjoying the trip out, you work so hard organising such a variety of activities,
