Monkey Music classes for babies and toddlers are now available across the Island.
The musical classes are available for children aged from 3 months all the way up to 4 years old and aim to offer a stimulating and progressive curriculum to young children all centred around the use of music.
Available across the Island, there are classes at Binstead Community Centre on Mondays, at Newport Methodist Church on Thursdays, at Music Hub CIC on High Street in Newport on Thursdays and Fridays, and a session at Cowes Baptist Church, also on Fridays.
Speaking to Island Echo, teacher Katherine Green has said:
“I have always wanted to help children develop and allow them to explore music from a young age and to show how powerful it can be.
“That’s why I decided to sign up for the franchise Monkey Music and bring the classes to the Island.
“I am very much looking forward to meeting everyone soon.”

Newport, Cowes and Binstead. Not exactly “all across the Island” is it? Are there no children in the South?
It doesn’t say ‘all’ across the Island though does it. It says “…across the Island.” Newport, Cowes and Binstead is indeed across the Island.
I can’t believe I just raised the effort to respond. I’d wager you don’t even have children, do you… Joris.
On an upbeat note, with a little less ‘Island mentality’, I recently travelled way up North and attended a free lesson with Katherine and it was absolutely cracking – my ‘Northern’ little boy loved every minute of it!!
